Winter Sunset

SOLD

This is a St Petersburg winter sunset city fragment. My family and I wanted to go there this summer, but with the return from America and the move to a different apartment, time and money didn't allow us to make the trip. Hopefully, next summer 2014, we will visit the beautiful city and see the sunset with our own eyes.

Sunny Day

Summer is very short in Russia - all the trees start blossoming late in May and early in August we can see first yellow leaves. Each and every day brings changes to the surrounding nature. Bright sunny days are abruptly interrupted by thunderstorms, followed by calm and cool evenings. However, there are moments in Russian summer when it seems that the time has stopped and this moment will last forever. I tried to reflect such a moment in this painting.

Winter Morning

SOLD

One more painting of winter in Russia. You can tell that it's a very cold morning, because the houses have smoke coming out of the chimneys. I really enjoy painting these winter landscapes! I guess I miss snow...
