My goodness, it's hard to believe there is only one day left before Christmas Eve! Thank you everyone for staying with me this amazing year! Knowing that I have so many faithful subscribers here has really motivated me to keep painting. Merry Christmas!

This gessoboard was first used for a different painting, one that didn't sell. So I just put one coat of gesso over the previous work and painted this new one. So you might see a bit of unusual texture below the paint - it's unintentional. It was fun!

If you look at my setting photo, you can see the real color of the setting background which is what it's like on the painting. For some reason, my camera caught the real purple color of the cloth behind the bowl but not the exact same purple on the painting. On the photo, it looks more blue than it should.
