Clementine

SOLD
I was so lucky to find this clementine with leaves on it at the store - it was the only one with the leaves still on in a whole basket of oranges.

September Teacup

SOLD

This is the finished work of what I posted a few days ago. The process above is in three phases, the second one being the one I posted on the 14th. The flower in the background is from my garden, but, sadly, the fruit are from the store. :) Shipping is free!

Abundance of Fruit

This is 8"x8" gesso board. I worked non-stop for 4 hours on this one. And I didn't notice how the time passed. It was such a painting flow. I just love the 8"x8" size! It feels very comfortable for me.

Work in progress...

This is an 8"x8" gessoboard - I just love this size.

I actually did finish the piece just a half hour ago - but it was too late to take a photo of the finished painting, as it was already too dark. So here is the work in progress, and I will make the finished piece photo tomorrow and post it then.

Tea with Wild Cherries

SOLD

It is extremely rainy now in my part of Russia - seems as if I "brought" the rainy weather from Athens, GA to Chelyabinsk, Russia. But the rain doesn't seem to bother the wild cherry trees in my garden - they seem to prosper in this weather and hot tea is always good when it's cold and wet outside.

Teacup and Mandarin

 SOLD

I have always wanted to take photos of each consecutive stage of my painting process and today I finally did that! Thanks for watching!

Grapefruit and Wild Cherries

SOLD

These wild cherries are also from my garden - they are different from those cherries that are sold in supermarkets: they are more sour, smaller, but have a unique fragrance. We usually make jam from such cherries and their fragrance makes wild cherry jam especially good.

Garden Strawberries

It's very warm and dry in Russia now, so I have to water my lakeside garden to keep the more fragile plants alive. Strawberries are very much alive anyway, no matter watered or not. Dry weather makes them much sweeter, although smaller maybe. I hope you can see that on this painting.

Summer Fruit

SOLD

This is probably my last painting before I move to Russia. I don't want to stop painting even for a short while but we need to start packing and preparing for the journey.

The Fruit Time is Here

Do you see the difference? The upper picture was retaken today and looks more like it's supposed to in real life.

I was so glad to see the cherries in a local store again! and the peaches smelled so good when I was passing them by!

Just can't get enough of my new teacup! When it arrived and I opened the box, all I could do was keep repeating "Oh, my gosh, this is lovely!"

May's Gifts

I am happy to share the exciting news - since my husband needs to collect data for his dissertation, we are going back to Russia for a year or so. We are moving in the end of May. I am so excited about the prospect of finding new inspirations for my small paintings in the new environment! It might take a little longer for my future paintings to reach their buyers in the US - probably about two weeks - but I hope it won't be a problem and they will understand. These two years in Georgia have been a wonderful experience for me and my family!

Spring Teacup and Apple

I painted this piece yesterday because I had extra time. Today, I painted another one but will post it tomorrow evening.
I am currently focused on spring pieces - leaves, flowers, fruit, and, of course, my teacups.

Spring Fruit

While I was painting these fruit, a nightingale was singing outside my window, reminding me that it's spring now. Fruit are traditionally associated with Autumn but nowadays we can get fruit all the year round, even in Spring - hence the title.
