August Rhapsody
I finished this just now. It was a good experience, a challenge, and a break from the small sizes - now I feel like going back to my usual, familiar 6"x6"! Thanks for looking!

Abundance of Fruit
This is 8"x8" gesso board. I worked non-stop for 4 hours on this one. And I didn't notice how the time passed. It was such a painting flow. I just love the 8"x8" size! It feels very comfortable for me.

Work in progress...
This is an 8"x8" gessoboard - I just love this size.
I actually did finish the piece just a half hour ago - but it was too late to take a photo of the finished painting, as it was already too dark. So here is the work in progress, and I will make the finished piece photo tomorrow and post it then.

Simply Irresistible
I just realized that I love painting apples. I have a few apple trees in my garden and the apples on different trees are, although similar, still very different in shape and color when you take a closer look at them. Sometimes I imagine that they belong to a few rival families contending with each other for the first prize of an apple beauty pageant.

Making Apple Pie
What does the reflected image in the jug look like to you? Unlike my daughter's opinion, it is actually an apple. Which is why I named the piece "Making Apple Pie".

Red Flower
I dedicate this piece to the pretty red flower on the bowl. Although it is not the main part of the painting, I notice it first when looking at the whole piece.

Spring Teacup and Apple
I painted this piece yesterday because I had extra time. Today, I painted another one but will post it tomorrow evening.
I am currently focused on spring pieces - leaves, flowers, fruit, and, of course, my teacups.

Today the sun was really bright in this part of Georgia and I hope it shows in my painting.

Spring Fruit
While I was painting these fruit, a nightingale was singing outside my window, reminding me that it's spring now. Fruit are traditionally associated with Autumn but nowadays we can get fruit all the year round, even in Spring - hence the title.

I made a photo of this rooster on a farm, where my daughter takes horseback riding lessons. It was fun watching him peck at an accidentally fallen on the ground Granny Smith apple.
